Dear future meDear future me,

Some random art I've found on the internet reminded me of this "tradition" of writing letters to myself. It's the begining of 2013 (see, I missed 2012, since the last letter is from 2011), and I'm nowhere near being what we wanted to be by now.

Some things don't change, and that's both a good and a bad thing. I'm not married with children, I still live with mother, I don't have a job. I didn't even finish studies – still struggling to write that goddamn thesis (turns out the panic wasn't all smoke and mirrors). But I'm also still Chris' girlfriend, Kiya's best (only?) friend, an aspiring artist and roleplayer.

I speak this to my genre savvy nakama sometimes. I also tend to think in tropese. (It's worse when I'm writing, especially because I make tropes lists for the projects I work on a lot.) It's been less than 3 years, and TV tropes has already permanently changed the way I write. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. :D

i've actually had to start explaining the tropes i use to friends when we talk about stuff...

While I'm not as advanced to call myself "near native", I do indeed see (or rather hear) Tropes where they shouldn't be, like in stranger's speech, whom I am certain aren't Tropers. Paranoia, maybe? XD
