Long Artist's Comments Stamp by aque-mizuhara Long Artist's Comments Stamp by aque-mizuhara
THIS DEVIATION WAS PUT INTO SCRAPS BECAUSE ABOUT 3/4 OF THE PEOPLE COMMENTING AND FAVING HAD NO IDEA WHAT "ARTISTS' COMMENTS" ARE
I wanted to put it into Storage, but it would be unfair for those who faved, so there. Scraps.

:bulletblue:I felt like doing it suddenly.
Reading [link] might also be around it.

:bulletblue: Always when I stumble upon a Deviation, I'm eager to read what was on the artist's mind.
Not many people feel so, but I do. And I am very disappointed when I find nothing or almost nothing in the Artist's Comments!

I feel that saying what the picture is about, what did I use to make it and how much it took, or what do I feel about it... The story behind it, inspiration, if I want any critic or if I know about some mistakes... It's all important! There's place for everything in here, you just need to make it full.
A simple "..." or "Enjoy!" is just NOT enough!

:bulletblue: Of course, I don't want to see whole fan fictions pasted into the description. But if we're talking about an OC, this is the best place to put their characteristic in!

Anyway, this is my first stamp, you know xD Hope you'll enjoy.

EDIT
Now with PLZ accounts for those who don't have a sub!

I find the funny part is the irony of why you put this in scraps! How do people even fave this
without acknowledging what is was made for?

I love this stamp and I love making long comments as well. What I have always loved is long intelligent conversations too. The thing I can't stand is the comments I see that are one word comments. ^^;
I know this stamp might not be meaning when people comment to you but I think it kind of fits as well. :D

On the other side of the spectrum, I have to search out people who like to write long comments, have real & intelligent conversations and read long comments because most the people these days say TL;DR and it drives me crazy. Heh. Lol

I agree with this, it's basically the cake below the frosting, lol.

I hate it when I, myself don't have much to say in my artists comments, I get kind of stuck and im just all like " uhhhhhh ".

YES. *warning, slight rant below, don't come whining butthurt to me, I WARNED YOU.*
THAT'S EXACTLY HOW I FEEL.
You don't know how ANNOYED I am when I stumble upon an AMAZING piece of art, so amazing that I'm literally barfing rainbows, and then I scroll down to read the description, wondering what the artist says about it and then...
"."
I MEAN, AT LEAST PUT A SENTENCE, NOUN, VERB, ALL OF THAT BASIC STUFF YOU LEARNT IN PRIMARY FRIKIN SCHOOL DDDDDX
Or if you don't speak English, use GOOGLE TRANSLATE, IT'S THERE FOR A REASON, SHERLOCK. Or if you really insist, WRITE IT IN YOUR HOMELANDS LANGUAGE SO THAT WE, THE VIEWERS, CAN GO TO GOOGLE TRANSLATE OR ANOTHER TRANSLATING SITE.
But for heck's sake...
DON'T.
PUT.
A.
DOT.
OR *...* OR *lol* OR ANYTHING ALONG THOSE LINES !
Because it's ANNOYING.

I don't really like having stamps all over my profile, but I saw this in the artists comments of something.
I always am curious about what thought went behind things or how it was done, how long it took, etc but usually I get a lot of beautiful images with just :) or telling who the photographer is or "Do not steal" or something. It really bugs me, and to be honest, makes me a lot less likely to fav, comment, or look through the rest of the gallery just because of it. I also kind of hate it when people just copy and paste the same description in things. I get that it's the same, but I'd rather see "This was another one taken at __________" because then it shows that there's more than just that, and will make me more likely to go check the rest out.

I'm so happy to see other people feel the same, and thanks for making this stamp as well!

I always write them out first and put a lot of thought into it and then i type them up later
My artists comments always end up like journal entries :XD:
I didn't think many people read the artists comments though :O

I don't write journal entries (maybe because I don't write journals at all? XD) in artist's comments, but I do tend to write quite a few sentences in there.
Don't worry, there are quite a lot people who do read them

I like longer AC's too, because if you just have "..." as your AC,you sound more like an art theif.(Where,as an art theif, you can't really write about the piece where you didn't make it.)
It sounds better when you explain what the concept is,how you got the idea, maybe even how long it took to make it.
Although I shouldn't really be one to talk, where sometimes I don't write much in my AC's if I'm submitting a lot of art.:XD:

Agreed, that way it's also easier for people to see that the artist thought about their work and have something to actually say about it :)

Also it helps if you're doubting whether something was stolen or not, is the author's comment something stupid like "Pikachu with bread" or "kawaii desu", you're pretty sure it's stolen :P

Oh yes, that's another point where ACs come in handy! You know that when an artist writes a thoughtful comment to each and every art of theirs, the probability of that being an art thieve is smaller, not to say minimal :)

Oh! How I just love this!

I too feel the need to write aritst's comments and it's no surprise that they can turn out to be long [kind of like journals too,
I begin with one idea for that journal, end up rambling and skipping around, forgetting then remembering again, spacing out things a lot so that by the end the journal takes up quite a large space on my profile -- but I've also come to realize it looks WAY better like that because small journals just messes up the flow and then everything's right next to everything else.. see? A ramble XD]

Although sometimes they turn out short. I think the longer ones come out with Lit pieces. Especially if it was to another deviant's deviation.

But anywho! I've also recently realized that I just wouldn't be capable of writing nothing or NOT explaining myself. I sometimes wish I could throw in an abstract photo with just a short sentence or a little quote to sum it up or a "Guess what it is" statement but alas... I just always need to explain myself, or feel the need to, so I do.

Anywho, lovely stamp! I like the text and the background you got as the saying... DA used to use that right? Gosh it's changed so much -- or just bits and bits of slightly -- since I can't remember XD

Yes, the BG is taken from a screenshot before v7 came in. Oh those glorious days of non-flashy things XD
I recently realized that my descriptions are getting shorter, but still, they express what I need to say, so still serve the purpose. And I agree, just like you I'm unable to leave them blank. The piece just... demands elaboration! :D
Also, thanks for the fave! And rant however long you want, I'm a good listener :D

Oh really? That's interesting, but still good they say what's needed ^^
Aahahah indeed, it does! I bet it likes being elaborated too XD
